The UNLV softball program is teaming up with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation to host the Fourth Annual Strike Out Cancer Day on April 7. The event will coincide with the Rebels' Mountain West Conference game versus BYU at 2:00 pm, at Eller Media Stadium (corner of Swenson and Harmon).
Come out and join the UNLV softball team in the fight against cancer. Those in attendance will not only be entertained by a collegiate softball game, but have the opportunity to purchase 50/50 tickets to win raffle prizes.
The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation's mission is to help families who have had a child diagnosed with a life threatening or critical illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell anemia and other immunological diseases. The Foundation provides comfort and support while empowering and educating families and support staff. Working side-by-side with the patient's medical team the Foundation provides social emotional, educational and psychological support services to families of ALL children who are diagnosed with a life threatening or critical illness.
