COLUMBUS, Ohio (UNLVRebels.com) – Facing unrelenting rainy conditions that affected Tuesday's second-round scores, the UNLV women's golf team drew upon a reliable source in its four seniors to move into second place on day two at the NCAA Columbus Regional at the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course (Par 72, 6,319 yards).

SECOND-ROUND SPLASH: Guiding the Rebel scorecard that counted all four seniors' individual scores toward the team's second-round tally, Toa Yokoyama carded a 1-under 71 as one of just three players to shoot below par. McKenzi Hall's 1-over 73, Mayumi Umezu's 2-over 74, and Hina Matsui's 4-over 76 helped the Scarlet & Gray manage to leave with a to-par score in single digits at 6-over (294) in a round filled with 12 above-par team scorecards.

REBEL ROUNDUP: Yokoyama also leads all UNLV players in a tie for fourth in the individual standings at 1-under 143 through 36 holes. Next in line are Hall (+2) and Umezu (+2) in a tie for 10th, followed by sophomore Zi Yu Foong (+4) in a tie for 21st and Matsui (+5) in a tie for 25th.

LEADERBOARD: The Scarlet & Gray moved up two spots from its previous fourth-place standing to stand within one shot of day-two leader Arkansas (+4). Heading into the final 18 holes, the Rebels will look to secure one of the Ohio State regional site's qualifying spots for the NCAA Championship, which are reserved for the top-5 finishers. UNLV is one shot ahead of Kansas and the Buckeyes in a tie for third at 6-over for the tournament and 11 shots ahead of SMU (+16) in fifth place.

KU's Lyla Louderbough grabbed the individual lead at 5-under 139 through 36 holes, with Yokoyama just four shots behind her.
