Indianapolis, Ind. - UNLV senior Alicia Tyson competed in the first day of competition in the 200-meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Championships held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Tyson failed to qualify for Friday's finals, turning in a time of 24.27, giving her a fourth place finish in heat 3. Her best time of the season came at the WAC Championships when she took first place with a time of 23.91.

Tyson is one of two UNLV athletes competing at the NCAA meet this weekend. Junior Jessica Marable qualified for the shot put. She will be competing Saturday, March 6.
