Lawrence, Kan. - UNLV senior Angie Fortner became the first Rebel runner in school history to compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Monday at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
Fortner completed the 5,000 meter course with a time of 18:32. She placed 136 out of 255 runners. Senior Katie McGregor of Michigan captured the national championship with a time of 16:47.
