LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The 38th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team dropped two three-set singles matches and fell 4-3 to WAC rival and 42nd-ranked San Diego State at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Sunday.

UNLV, which suffered its first home loss this season after five wins, fell to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

The Rebels opened the match by winning the doubles point after Nenad Zivkovic and Gregor Skorin upset the 19th-ranked duo of Frank Morgan and Alex Waske 9-8 at the decisive top spot.

UNLV then got singles wins from Asaf Tishler and Brandon Fallon to tie things at three. Tishler, ranked 71st, beat 76th-ranked Waske in straight sets at the top position. However, SDSU's Nguey Lay rallied to take the third match in three sets over Danny Erez to clinch the win.

The Rebels next travel to the Blue-Gray Invitational in Montgomery, Ala., on March 19-22.
