CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The No. 41-ranked UNLV men's tennis team won one match and lost another in the first two rounds of the H.E.B. Team Invitational being held in the H.E.B. Tennis Center Friday.

In the first match, UNLV (5-2) upset 29th-ranked Virginia Tech 4-2. Later in the day, the Rebels lost to 26th-ranked Tulsa 4-2 in a match-up of WAC schools.

Winning for UNLV in the first match was Asaf Tishler, Nenad Zivkovic, Danny Erez and Gregor Skorin. The sixth match and doubles were not played.

In the nightcap, UNLV lost the doubles point after the Golden Hurricane took two of three matches, and then only got wins from Erez and Skorin as No. 2 singles was cancelled. The tournament continues through Sunday.
