Women's Swimming Falls to Rival Nevada, Reno 106-192

November 20, 1998

RENO, Nev. - The women's swim team traveled to intrastate rival Reno Friday to compete in an annual dual meet. When it was all over it was the Wolf pack that was victorious by the score of 192-106.

UNLV managed to capture just three events on the day. Two of those belonged to freshman sensation Ericka Korb who continues to shine in the Rebel breaststroke events. Korb took both the 100 breast (1:05.82) and the 200 breast (2:22.73). Her fellow freshman teammate Dana Penn picked up the Rebels only other victory. Penn won the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.87. Ashleigh Crowder had her season-best in the 100 back (58.55) en route to a second place showing. She finished third in the 200 back with her time of 2:09.61.

The next meet of the season will be the Rebel's home opener against Northern Arizona on December 4. This will be their final warm up before hosting the annual Winter Invite on December 18-21. The women's dual meet record now stands at 2-3 this season.
