IRVINE, Calif. - The unranked UNLV doubles team of Susie Kocsis and Marcella Valkenhoff lost in the championship match of the 1998 UC Irvine Blue/Gold Fall Women's Invitational held at the UCI Tennis Stadium Sunday.

Kocsis, a senior, and Valkenhoff, a sophomore, fell to top-seeded Maggie Cole and Sarah Donovan of San Diego State, 8-5 in the final. Earlier in the day, Donovan also won the singles title with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Jonni Seymour of host UC Irvine.
