LAS VEGAS: The UNLV baseball program announced that 25 games will be broadcast on KSHP AM-1400 radio during the 2000 season. It marks the third straight season that UNLV baseball has been broadcast on AM radio.
KSHP AM-1400 will be UNLV baseball?s flagship station. ?We are excited that UNLV baseball will be broadcast on AM radio once again this season,? UNLV Head Coach Rod Soesbe said. ?KSHP is a fine station and we feel this could be an exciting season to listen to Rebel baseball on radio. It lends a lot of credibility to our program and it?s an honor to have our games on the radio.?
Scott Robbs will return for his third season and will handle the play-by-play duties. He has served as the public address announcer for UNLV baseball for five years (1994-98), UNLV women?s volleyball and in-house P.A. for UNLV football. He was the voice of high school football?s game of the week for the past two seasons. He also broadcast UNLV?s 1996 NCAA South II Regional Tournament games from Baton Rouge, La.
