HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Freshman James Oh (71-68-69--208) shot his third straight sub-par round on Sunday with a final-round 69 to finish in eighth place at eight-under par at the Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational.
Oh led the Rebels (283-293-297--873) to a 16th-place finish on the Arthur Hills Course, nine strokes over par. Georgia captured the team title with an amazing 42-under par score.
Sophomore Calvin Kupeyan (76-74-70--220) rebounded from a rocky start with a two-under-par final round to finish tied for 59th place overall.
Sophomores Tyler Mays and Brett Foulds followed Keupyan. Mays (68-76-77--221) finished tied for 64th at five-over par while Foulds (72-75-81--228) tied for 81st at 12-over. Freshman Travis Whisman withdrew from play during Saturday's second round, leaving the Rebels with only four players in the lineup.
UNLV returns to the Southeast in just four days to compete in the College Golf Foundation Match Play Team Championship in Esotero, Fla, on Nov. 11-12. That tournament will conclude the Rebels' fall schedule.
