PROVO, Utah - UNLV divers Lucas Richmond and Devon Turner did not pull off any huge upsets at the 8th annual BYU Diving Invitational, but they did gain valuable experience competing against some of the nation's top divers in the two-day event.
Richmond placed seventh, the best Rebel finish of the weekend, in the 3-meter finals with a score of 414.05. Turner came in tenth in the 3-meter competition (230.3).
The two finished eight and ninth in the 1-meter diving. Richmond scored 223.45, while Turner tallied 204.35 points.
Richmond also placed sixth of six in the 10-meter platform competition with 189 points.
BYU's sophomore All-American Aaron Russell swept all three events, with winning scores of 349.75 (1-meter), 540.65 (3-meter) and 282.05 (10-meter).
