Women's Swimming And Diving Falls To Nevada, Reno

RENO, Nev. - The women's swimming and diving team struggled at Nevada, Reno on Saturday, falling to the Wolf Pack 174-126. Nevada, Reno won 10 of the 16 events, including a near sweep of the five places awarded in the one- and three-meter diving events.

The team of Timery Chambers, Lorena Diaconescu, Alyson Noble and Criselda Dizon won the 400 free relay in a time of 3:32.64. Noble also won the 200 free in 1:55.16

Diaconescu led the Rebels, winning the 50 free in 24.34 and the 100 back in 58.21. She was also a close second to senior Wolf Pack standout Ping Luo in the 500 free, losing by just 0.07 seconds (4:56.67).

Madalina Tin won the 100 free in 53.25. Sabrina Ferrari and Julie Unrau finished 1-2 in the 100 fly in 57.60 and 59.04 respectively.

The Rebels return home next weekend for the 17th annual Winter Invite beginning on Saturday and running through Monday.
