LOS ANGELES - Monday's scheduled baseball game between UNLV and ninth-ranked Southern California was cancelled because of heavy rains in the Los Angeles area.

The Hustlin' Rebels (3-10), who have lost seven straight, were to play just a single game vs. the Trojans.

UNLV will open the annual, seven-team Coors Desert Classic by taking on Santa Clara Thursday at 5 p.m. PST at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
