LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's swim team defeated Santa Barbara on Saturday 167-94 in dual meet competition. The women's team finished second, 111-131.

Jacint Simon won both the 500 and 1000 free, with times of 4:36.21 and 9:28.70. Piotr Krzyskow won the 50 and 100 free in 20.56 and 44.81. Andrew Livingston won both the 100 and 200 fly in 49.69 and 1:50.87. David Schick, back from injury, won the 100 back in 51.68 and took second in the 100 fly with a time of 50.22.

For the women, Lorena Diaconescu won both the 100 and 200 free in 51.94 and 1:52.82. Carrie Knopp won the 100 and 200 breast events in 1:07.31 and 2:22.65.

The Rebel swim teams wrap up the regular season, hosting Air Force and San Diego State this Saturday at noon. The Mountain West Conference Tournament begins on Feb. 14 at Oklahoma City, OK.
