LAS VEGAS - Selected UNLV baseball games will be broadcast during the 2001 season on KSHP AM 1400 radio in Las Vegas, the athletic department announced Wednesday. It is the fourth straight season UNLV baseball has been broadcast on AM Radio.
2001 also marks the third straight year that game broadcasts will be available on the internet through UNLV's athletic department website at www.unlvrebels.com.
Scott Robbs returns for his fourth season calling the play-by-play. Robbs has served as the public address announcer for UNLV baseball for five years (1994-98), as well as announcing UNLV women's volleyball and covering the in-house P.A. for UNLV football.
"We are extremely excited to have KSHP back as our flagship station," said UNLV head coach Rod Soesbe. "KSHP provides a great service for our distant fans and families to keep up with the team during the season. We are also excited to have Scott Robbs again as our play-by-play announcer. He has done a great job in the past and it is wonderful to have him back."
