LAS VEGAS (AP) - Kaspars Kambala scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead UNLV to a 106-71 victory over Chicago State on Saturday.
In winning their sixth straight game, UNLV (9-5) set season-highs in points (106), margin of victory (35) and field-goal percentage (55).
Kambala scoring 18 points in the first half, hitting 9-of-13 shots. He finished 11-for-15 from the field and helped UNLV to a 43-29 rebounding advantage.
UNLV used a 24-5 run to build a 50-32 halftime lead. The Runnin' Rebels trailed 6-3 before scoring 15 consecutive points to break the game open.
Lou Kelly scored 13 points and Chris Richardson had 12 for UNLV. Kelley and Richardson combined to go 8-for-11 from the field.
Tony Jones scored 14 points to lead Chicago State (3-10). The Cougars have lost five straight games.
