Women's Swimming Splits Pair Of Dual Meets

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's swim team split a pair of dual meets on Saturday, falling to Nevada, Reno 159-136 and defeating UC-Irvine 199-101.

Alyson Noble continues to dominate the distance events, winning the 1000 free in 10:08.49 and the 500 free in 4:58.46.

Lorena Diaconescu and Tamee Ebert went 1-2 in the 200 free with Diaconescu finishing in 1:48.83. Diaconescu also won the 100 free in 51.21.

Dana Penn took the 200 fly in 2:08.44, followed closely by teammate Julie Unrau who finished second in 2:08.62.

Madalina Tin won the 200 breast in 2:21.97.

The Rebels get two weeks off before hosting the Mountain West Invitational Nov. 30-Dec. 1 at the Buchanan Natatorium.
