EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - Lorena Diaconescu finished 31st in the 100 free preliminaries with a time of 50.57 at the NCAA Swimming Championships on Saturday morning. Her best time of the year in the 100 free is 49.43.

Texas' Coleen Lanne led the prelim heats with a time of 48.32.

With only the top sixteen finishers advancing to swim in the finals Saturday night, Diaconescu's season has ended. She earned All-America honors on Friday with a thirteenth place finish in the 200 free and took 46th place in the 500 free on Thursday.
