LAS VEGAS - The UNLV swimming and diving team has announced the signing of 19 (nine men and ten women) student-athletes to national letters of intent, as announced by head coach Jim Reitz on Wednesday.
The men's team welcomes Patrick Adams (breast/sprint free, Australia), Michael Day (butterfly/IM, Villa Hills, KY), Bjorn Eriksson (breast/free, Sweden), Jonathan Hugo (sprint free/back, South Africa), Travis Kummer (fly/back, Erie, OR), Ramsey Ladah (breast/IM, Las Vegas, NV), Ryan Norrie (sprint free, Australia), Henrik Weible (distance free, Germany) and Josh Wallace (diver, Loveland, CO).
The women's team adds Brenda Degeus (free, Edmond, OK), Tamee Ebert (distance free, Canada), Jessica Field (diver, Canada), Wendy Gregg (breast, East Wenatchee, WA), Khawinda Kuhn (free/back/breast, Pasadena, CA), Jessica Meager (IM/back, Dallas, TX), JaNae Rohner (distance, Bluffdale, UT), Raluca Udroiu (back, Romania), Kadee Whipple (back, Las Vegas, NV) and Nancy Wilce (distance, Banks, OR).
"We lost a wealth of talent last year and we did a great job of replacing a lot of extremely talented swimmers and divers," said UNLV Assistant Coach Chris Hansen. "The depth and talent of this recruiting class will help us win a lot of meets and take a much larger group of kids to the NCAA's."
