COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV senior David Schick has been named Mountain West Conference men's swimmer of the week, marking his first award this season.

Schick, a native of Tulsa, Okla., followed a leadoff win in the 200 medley relay with first-place finishes in the 100 backstroke and the 100 fly at the Hawaii Invitational last week. Schick's time of 50.90-seconds in the backstroke is third on the MWC performance list, while his time of 49.22-seconds in the fly is second on the MWC performance list.

The Rebel men are off until a meeting with Air Force Feb. 9 in Las Vegas.
