LAS VEGAS - UNLV head baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle announced the signing of C.J. Ebarb on Wednesday. Ebarb is a junior college transfer from the Community College of Southern Nevada. He originally hails from Jasper, Texas, where he attended Jasper High School. Ebarb is an all-district and all-state selection by the Texas High School Coaches Association. He hit .583 with 8 homeruns, 29 RBIs, and 32 walks. He was also named the Beaumont Gold MVP.

"C.J. is a tremendous player that I have been able to see play over the last couple of years in Texas," said Schlossnagle. "He is improving as a catcher and can make an immediate impact in our lineup offensively. He comes from a great junior college program that will continue his development as a player and make him a part of a winner."
