CORPUS CHRISTI - The 59th-ranked UNLV men's team lost its third straight match, all to lesser-ranked teams, when it was upset by unranked Colorado, 4-0, in Sunday's fourth and final round of the annual HEB Tennis Classic.
The Rebels fell to 4-5 overall and just 1-4 away from home this spring, including 1-3 in this event.
UNLV actually defeated Colorado 4-3 just last month to win its annual spring invitational but was not even competitive this time around on neutral ground.
CU lost only one set in the four matches that were completed. Thomas Michaud at No. 2, Romain Tug on No. 3, Aviram Salomon on No. 4 and Leslie Eisinga on court six all lost their matches. Action on courts one and five was halted and doubles play was canceled.
UNLV looks to get well as it returns to the Fertitta Tennis Complex for a nine-match homestand, beginning with Southern Mississippi on Wednesday.
