NCSU took two of three doubles matches for one team point and the lead. UNLV's only winners were Romain Tug and Aviram Salomon, 8-4, at the No. 3 spot.

In singles play, UNLV's 62nd-ranked Thomas Schneiter eased by Reinaldo Valor 6-4, 6-3 at the top spot. UNLV also got straight set wins from Tug at No. 2 and Thomas Michaud at No. 4. With UNLV up 3-2, Andreas Maurer won 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 on the sixth court to clinch the team victory. Salomon then closed the match with a come-from-behind three-set win at No. 3.
