LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team raised its home record to 6-1 this spring as it shut out Drake 7-0 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Wednesday.
The Rebels improved to 7-6 overall.
UNLV began the day by taking two of three doubles matches for one team point. Winning for the Rebels were the teams of Thomas Schneiter and Andreas Maurer at No. 2 and Romain Tug and Aviram Salomon at No. 3.
In singles play, UNLV won all but two sets. Winning in straight sets were 68th-ranked Schneiter, 6-1, 6-0, over Bryan Endress at the top spot, Thomas Michaud at No. 4, Leslie Eisinga at No. 5 and Maurer on the sixth court. Pushed to three sets before winning were Tug at No. 2 and Salomon at No. 3.
UNLV will continue its non-conference schedule by hosting Southeastern Conference member Auburn on March 26.
