LAS VEGAS - UNLV head baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle invites Rebel baseball fans to the second annual UNLV Baseball Grand Slam Club World Series Baseball Bash on October 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Big Dog's Cafe and Casino. This will be the first opportunity for all Rebel fans to meet and mingle with the 2002-03 Hustlin' Rebel Baseball team and enjoy dinner and drinks during game two of the Major League Baseball World Series. Schlossnagle and Athletic Director John Robinson will be the guest speakers.
The Grand Slam Club provides long-time UNLV baseball supporters with the opportunity to receive extra benefits and get closer to the action. Members will receive exciting and useful benefits that, depending on the level of contribution, may include exclusive Grand Slam Club merchandise, season tickets, opportunities to travel with the team and access to members-only team functions.
"I am extremely excited about the Grand Slam Club," Schlossnagle said. "This organization provided an avenue by which our fans and supporters can have a 'hands-on' part in our program, and it will provide a direction for their financial support. All contributions to the Grand Slam Club go directly and solely to the baseball program."
Cost of the October Baseball Bash is $5 per person and there will be a raffle drawing for door prizes. Please call 702-895-3499 to reserve space.
