LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior guard Marcus Banks was named the Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Runnin' Rebels to a 75-70 win at DePaul on Saturday.
In UNLV's only game of the week, Banks scored a team-high 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting (54.6 percent) from the field and 7-of-10 from the free throw line.
Banks also had a career-high-tying seven rebounds, a game-high seven assists and three steals as the Runnin' Rebels extended their win streak to five games.
The award marks UNLV's third of the season and fourth of Banks' career.
UNLV will be back in action on Thurs., Jan. 16, as it travels to Provo, Utah, to face BYU at 6:00 p.m. PST.
