Women's Swimming Falls To Instate Rival

RENO, Nevada - The UNLV women's swimming and diving team fell to Nevada, Reno on Saturday afternoon 175-125 at the Lombardi Pool in Reno. The loss dropped the Rebels to 8-3 in dual meet competition this season.

Alyson Noble and Alison Zick went 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle. Noble won in 10:29.03, while Zick followed in 10:39.15. UNLV also went 1-2-3 in the 500 free with Noble winning in 5:08.16. Zick took second in 5:12.10 and Tamee Ebert finished third in 5:12.98.

Raluca Udroiu won the 100 back in 57.12, with Khawinda Kuhn taking third in 1:00.28. Udroiu also won the 200 back in 2:02.25.

Julie Unrau won the 100 and 200 fly, with times of 57.71 and 2:07.08 respectively. Jessie Bradshaw took second in the 100 fly in 58.91.

UNLV has one meet left before heading to the Oklahoma City for the Mountain West Conference Championships from Feb. 19-22. The Rebels host UC Santa Barbara and Northern Arizona on Feb. 1 at noon.
