REDMOND, Wash. - Powered by three rounds of 77, the UNLV women's golf team sits in 10th place after first-round play at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational on Monday.

The Rebels shot a 22-over-par 310 at the par-72, 5,953-yard Sahalee Country Club and sit 25 shots behind California, the first-round leader.

Three players at the top of the UNLV lineup -- Elena Kurokawa, Hwanhee Lee and Sunny Oh -- all shot 77 in the first round and are tied with three others for 33rd place. Cal's Sofie Andersson paced the field on the first day, shooting 69.

Rounding out the Rebels' team total was freshman Seema Sadekar, who is tied for 45th place after an opening 79. Tina Mabanta's 84 was thrown out of the team total.

UNLV will begin second-round play at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
