LAS VEGAS - As the UNLV men's basketball team prepares for the 2003-04 season, fans will have an early chance to meet the team in person this Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Galleria Mall in Henderson.

The Runnin' Rebel players will be on hand from 1-3 p.m. to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans. Free schedule posters will be available for signing at the mall and members of the UNLV cheer and dance team will be on hand as well.

A raffle will be conducted for autographed Runnin' Rebel merchandise and a portable basketball hoop will be set up where kids can shoot for prizes with members of the team.

UNLV will begin practicing for the upcoming season on Saturday, Oct. 18, and will host the free Scarlet & Gray Game on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Thomas & Mack Center. Exhibition play gets started on Monday, Nov. 10, and the regular season opener is slated for Friday, Nov. 21, vs. Delaware State.
