LAS VEGAS (AP) - Odartey Blankson's 15 points and seven rebounds helped UNLV cruise past the Houston Superstars 95-63 on Saturday night in its final exhibition game of the season at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Jerel Blassingame's game-high 17 points led five Runnin' Rebels in double figures. Romel Beck and James Peters each scored 15, while Louis Amundson added 13.
Three UNLV players tallied at least six assists as the team recorded 27 for the game. Blassingame and John Winston each had seven, while Beck added six.
UNLV went on a 17-5 run to open the second half and never looked back in holding the team of former college players to 28 second-half points.
The Superstars only dressed six for the contest. Keith Green led Houston with 16 points, while teammates Chad Hendrick and Roderick Brown each had 15.
UNLV opens its regular season schedule Nov. 21 at home against Delaware State at 7:30 p.m.
