SAN DIEGO - The UNLV women's swimming and diving team defeated San Diego State 193-107 on Saturday night at the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center Pool on the SDSU Campus.
The Rebel women opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay. The team of Jessie Bradshaw, Shayna Burns, Tiffany Vincent and Katie Wronn won in 1:47.31.
Alyson Noble and Alison Zick went 1-2 in the 1000 free. Noble finished well ahead of the field, winning in 10:10.66, while Zick following at 10:18.66. Noble also won the 500 free in 4:58.98.
Junior Khawinda Kuhn won the 100 (58.63) and 200 (2:07.68) backstroke events, while sophomore Shayna Burns took the 100 (1:04.80) and 200 (2:20.54) breaststroke.
Burns and Kuhn also went 1-2 in the 200 IM. Burns won in 2:08.42, with Kuhn finishing in 2:11.11.
Senior Julie Unrau took both the 100 (57.81) and 200 (2:05.71) fly events. Freshman Katie Wronn won the 50 (24.58) and 100 (52.97) freestyle events.
The Rebels finished the meet with another relay win, with Wronn, Noble, Lauren Browning and Zick capturing the 400 free relay in 3:34.80.
UNLV continues its conference road swing with a trip to the BYU Invitational on December 5-6.
