LAS VEGAS - UNLV sophomore Joe Bartoch begins competition in the World University Games in Korea on Wednesday night.
Bartoch qualified for the World University Games after taking second place in the 100 fly at the Canadian Nations. Bartoch finished second to former Rebel swimmer Mike Mintenko.
The World University Games is a sports festival for university students from all over the world. The games take place from Aug. 21-31 in Daegu, Korea, with 11,000 participants from 172 countries.
