ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Freshman Seema Sadekar shot a two-under par 71 and teammate Sunny Oh carded a 72 to lead the UNLV women's golf team in the first round of the Dick McGuire Invitational on Thursday at the Championship Course.

The Rebels sit in fourth place on the team leaderboard after one round. They trail leader and host New Mexico by 12 strokes.

Individually, Sadekar is just one stroke behind the Lobos' Kailin Downs for the lead. Oh is presently tied for fourth, two strokes off the pace.

Combining with the duo were Elena Kurokawa and Young Pak, both who carded 82 to account for the Rebels' 307 team total.

Hwanhee Lee rounded out the Rebel lineup with an 85 on Thursday, and Christine Hentzner, playing as an individual, shot 84.

The Rebels will begin the second round of the 54-hole event on Friday morning at 10:10 a.m. MDT.
