LAS VEGAS - UNLV tennis had three of five singles players advance at the first day of pre-qualifying for the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Classic on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles Saturday.

Winning for the Lady Rebels were Elena Gantcheva (6-4, 5-7, 6-2 over Zuzana Cerna of Baylor), Anne Claire Ortiz-Luis (6-4, 6-1 over Christine Dao of Rice), and Sharon Marin (6-1, 6-4 over Alyssa Ayling of Boise State).

The trio will continue in the tournament with two rounds of singles on Sunday.
