LAS VEGAS - Unusually heavy and persistent desert rains led to the postponement of the first day of competition at the 2004 Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championships being held at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus.

Weather permitting, there will be two rounds of singles and two rounds of doubles staged Thursday. The tournament is scheduled to run through Sunday.
