LAS VEGAS - For the first time in history, UNLV men's tennis boasts two players in the preseason edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings.
Senior Henner Nehles, who was 16-7 a year ago and finished ranked 86th in the nation, is a career-best 46th heading into his final season. His previous high was 55 on Feb. 23 of this year.
Nehles is joined by Aviram Salomon (16-8) who earned a career-high ranking of 67th after ending the spring 118th. It is the first time Salomon has been ranked in the nation's top 100.
UNLV had zero players ranked in the preseason a year ago.
