Rebel Team Hosts CSU

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's swimming and diving team will take on the Rams of Colorado State Saturday beginning at 2 pm in the Buchanan Natatorium.

The Rebels (3-3, 2-1 MWC) are coming off a 124-116 victory over New Mexico on Tuesday. Raluca Udroiu led UNLV past the Lobos winning the 200 IM (2:07.94) and the 100 back (57.11). Three other Rebels collected wins for UNLV. Kari Nettenstrom won the 1000 free, Shayna Burns took first in the 100 fly, and Katie Wronn won the 50 free. Wronn was named MWC Swimmer Of The Week on Wednesday for her performance last week against BYU in the 50 free (24.43) and first place relay swims.

The Rams grabbed their second win of the season last week over the University of Colorado 156-81. Colorado State is paced by Rachel Hinze and Andi Newman who each collected two first place finishes last week. Hinze won the 200 IM (2:14.80) and the 100 free (54.54) while Newman grabbed fist in the 1000 free (11:15.30) and 500 free (5:29.22).

The Rams lead the series 2-1, winning last year's meeting 125-118.
