Final Stats

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Odartey Blankson scored a game-high 25 points and had 11 rebounds to lead UNLV over Oregon State 86-61 Friday night.

Blankson, who scored 17 points in the first half, was 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Teammates Romel Beck scored 17 points, Dustin Villepigue 16 with 7 rebounds and Louis Amundson had 10 points with 10 rebounds.

For Oregon State (2-2), Sasa Cuic led with 12 points and eight rebounds. Lamar Hurd scored 11 points and had five assists, while Marcel Jones added 10 points.

The Beavers were out-rebounded 46-32 and shot 22-of-58 from the field for 37.9 percent.

UNLV (1-1) was 30-of-66 for 45.5 percent. It was 20-of-23 from the free-throw line for 87 percent, while Oregon State was 10-of-19 for 52.6 percent.

The Rebels, who led 37-25 at halftime, never trailed in the second half and won going away building their largest lead at the end. The Beavers led twice in the first half, and once built a 20-15 lead with 8:09 until halftime.
