Reed Leads Rebels At Holiday Inn Invite

NAMPA, Idaho - Kiyota Reed's runner-up finish in the 60m hurdles highlighted the day's action for the UNLV women's track & field team at the Holiday Inn Invitational on Saturday. The meet was hosted by Boise State.

Reed was one of three Rebels in the top five in the 60m hurdles. She was second at 8.75, while Christine Spence was third at 8.84, and Miesha McClendon placed fifth with a time of 9.05. Spence also turned in a fourth-place finish in the high jump, clearing a height of 5-09.25.

Also turning in top eight finishes was Halima Decree with a third-place finish in the 60m dash (7.70) and Tiffany Smith in the triple jump (37-03). Michele Suszek posted two top-five runs, as she was fifth in the 3,000m run in 10:24.40, and fourth in the one mile run in a time of 5:14.24.
