LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's track & field team will compete in the 2004 Mountain West Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship starting on Thursday in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the Cadet Field House. The meet is being hosted by Air Force, and runs from Thursday through Saturday. The fifth annual meet starts with the women's pentathlon on Thursday at 10 am, while events start at 11 am on Friday and Saturday.
UNLV, who finished seventh in last year's meet, ahead of Air Force, will have 17 athletes competing in the three-day meet. Among the Rebels expected to turn in high performances are Halima Decree, ranked third in the conference in the 60m dash, Christine Spence, ranked third in the high jump, and Kiyota Reed, seventh in the 60m dash.
