SALINAS, Calif. - Three players sit in the top 20 and the UNLV women's golf team is in third place after two rounds of play at the Spartan Invitational at Corral de Tierra Golf Course on Tuesday.

Elena Kurokawa led the way, circling the par-72, 6,010-yard course twice in 147 strokes, three over par. She is tied for 10th place overall.

Joining her in the top 20 were Sunny Oh and Seema Sadekar, both of whom tied for 12th place at four-over par. Oh carded rounds of 73 and 75 while Sadekar posted matching 74s.

While the Rebels' three players in the top 20 was impressive, UCLA topped the feat by cramming four players into the top 12. Leading that pack was Charlotte Mayorkas, who followed a par round with a daily best 67 to top all players.

Both Hwanhee Lee and Young Pak tossed a solid score into each round. Lee's 72 in the opening round helped the team to a seven-over par 295 score. Pak contributed in the nightcap, throwing a 73 into the team's 293, its best single-round team score of the season.

Both Lee and Pak are tied for 35th place.

Final-round play at the Spartan Invite will commence at 8:00 a.m.
