Rebels Close Out MWC Season.

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams finishing their conference dual meet competition this weekend with a pair of meets at Wyoming and Air Force. The Rebels take on Air Force on Friday at 4 pm (PST) in Colorado Springs, Colo., then meet Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo., on Saturday at 1 pm (PST).

The UNLV men bring a 5-1 record (1-1 MWC) in the meet, having posted a win over Florida Atlantic in its last competition, and have also claimed a win over No. 15 North Carolina this month back in Las Vegas. Leading the Rebels is junior Joe Bartoch, who picked up his second MWC Swimmer of the Week honor for the win over UNC after winning two individual events and swimming on two first place relays. The Rebel women are 6-4, and 4-1 in league action, just half a meet behind Utah (4-0) in the conference standings. Raluca Udriou highlighted the action for UNLV against FAU, sweeping both backstroke events while leading the 200 medley relay to a first place swim as well.

Air Force will be seeing its first conference action of the season on Friday against the Rebels on the men's side. The Falcon women are 0-2 thus far in the MWC in 2004-05.

Wyoming's men will bring a 3-1 overall mark into their MWC opener, while the women are boasting a 3-1 overall mark and 2-0 record in league action.
