First-Round Fumble

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - UNLV junior Elena Gantcheva lost her first round match Thursday at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships.

Gantcheva, ranked 13th was swept 6-0, 6-2 by 10th-ranked Megan Moulton-Levy of William and Mary. Gantcheva defeated Moulton-Levy in the very same tournament a year ago.

"Elena never really got going today," UNLV head coach Kevin Cory said. "Hopefully she'll be ready to go in the consolation draw on Friday."
