Chapman, Williams Final At Zones

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - UNLV turned in its best performance on the final day of competition at the 2006 NCAA Women's Diving Zone E regionals on Saturday at Oklahoma City Community College, with two of three Rebels reaching the finals in the platform.

Brandy Chapman was the day's top performer for the Rebels, posting a score of 345.15 to place 17th, while Wendy Williams was right behind her in 18th with a 330.40 score. Nichole McLean placed 23rd overall after scoring 169.50 in the morning preliminaries.

UNLV began the zone diving meet on Thursday, and all three divers competed on the 3-meter board. McLean was the top Rebel that day, taking 19th with a score of 242.50, with Chapman placing 32nd (208.10) and Williams taking 34th (201.30).

On Friday, Chapman scored 216.95 to place 22nd, with Williams in 35th place (197.90) and McLean in 37th (187.85).
