LAS VEGAS - UNLV cross country announced its 2006 schedule on Tuesday and the Rebels are slated to run in five regular season meets, including hosting the UNLV Invite in October.

The Rebels will become quite familiar with the state of California, as four of their five regular season meets will take place in the Golden State, including the first three. UNLV opens its season on Sept. 9 at the UC Irvine, then travels to San Diego State the following week for a meet on Sept. 16. After taking a week off the Rebels travel to UC Riverside for a meet on Sept. 30.

UNLV will then host its own meet on Oct. 7 at Floyd Lamb State Park before wrapping up its regular season at Sacramento State on Oct. 14.

UNLV will then rest a week before traveling to the 2006 Mountain West Conference Championships, held in Salt Lake City and hosted by the University of Utah.
