LAS VEGAS - Jason Petrimoulx, who played just one season for the Runnin' Rebels, is no longer with the UNLV men's basketball program, head coach Lon Kruger announced Wednesday.

"Jason's failure to meet academic expectations during the spring semester created difficulties for him from which he was unable to recover," Kruger said. "We are extremely disappointed for Jason and we will do what we can to assist him in finding a new program."

Petrimoulx, a 6-foot-4-inch guard, averaged 10.1 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game last season as a junior for UNLV. He played in 27 games (started 25) before suffering a season-ending foot injury during the second-to-last regular season game at New Mexico on March 1.
