ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Final Results
UNLV women's track and field concluded its short indoor regular season with four Rebels finishing in the top 10 at the TCR Race Productions Invitational, a two-day meet held in the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The Rebels were led by junior Monique Humphries, who tied her own school record in the weight throw, finishing fourth in the event with a mark of 57'-2.25". She set the record in the first meet of this season at the University of Washington Invitational.
Overall the Rebels finished in ninth place as a team with 15 points, coming in ahead of MWC foe Utah, which came in 10th with 14 points. BYU won the women's title with 120, San Diego State was second with 99 and Arizona came in third with 98.
Newcomer Charlotte Browning made a strong debut with a fourth-place finish of her own in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.87. Rebel freshman Laura Lundin had her highest finish of her short career with a sixth-place time of 21:16.09 in the 5,000 meters. UNLV's other top-10 individual was Olivia Raya, who tossed the weight 47'-0.75" and came in ninth.
On the track the Rebels' 4x400 meter relay team came in seventh with a time of 4:01.33.
It was the final tune-up for the Rebels before the MWC Indoor Championships on Feb. 22-24, held right back at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
