LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's basketball team's best season in 15 years will be celebrated March 11, as the Runnin' Rebel Basketball Banquet will take place at Cox Pavilion.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. with a cocktail social and followed by lunch at 1:30 p.m. An awards ceremony will take place just after 2 p.m. and will wrap up just before the NCAA Tournament Selection Show begins. Banquet guests are invited to stay to watch the selection show along with the team.

"Our fans have been a huge part of this team's success," Head Coach Lon Kruger said. "We want to take this opportunity to enjoy celebrating the season together and are looking forward to sharing the fun with our fans at the 2007 Runnin' Rebel Basketball Banquet."

The Runnin' Rebels currently stand 23-6 overall and 10-4 in Mountain West Conference play. UNLV, which boasts its best record at this point in the season since 1991-92, is 15-1 at home this year and has the nation's 15th-longest home win streak with 13 straight victories at the Thomas & Mack Center. As of Feb. 26, UNLV's Ratings Percentage Index is 12th in the country and has been in the top 15 for most of the season.
