FORT WORTH, Texas - The UNLV men's tennis team closed out its Mountain West Conference regular-season schedule in style with a 7-0 neutral-site shutout of Air Force on the campus of TCU on Sunday.

The Rebels improved to 10-13 overall and 3-3 in the league while the Falcons dropped to 11-15 and 0-6. UNLV, which won two of three during its weekend Texas trip, now awaits the MWC Championships on April 26-28 in Colorado Springs.

En route to posting their first whitewash of the season, the Rebels began the morning by taking all three doubles matches for one team point.

UNLV then lost just one set in singles play. At the top spot, 89th-ranked Elliot Wronski fought off Robby Alexander 6-3, 7-6. Also winning in straights sets was Slavko Bijelica, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2, Wesley Burrows, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3, Brett Hunter, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 and Luca Barlocchi, who emerged victorious on court six by the score of 6-2, 6-4. David Campbell, playing at the fifth position, rallied after losing the first set to win 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9).
