LAS VEGAS - The Rebel cross country team will travel to Riverside, Calif. this weekend to compete in the 27th annual UC Riverside Invitational. Last season, UNLV finished 18th in the UCR Invite and look to fair better this weekend after having last Saturday off.

The UCR Invitational women's race will be held at 7:30 AM on Saturday, with the 5,000 meter course being run on the UCR Agricultural Operations Course. UNLV has been led this season by Charlotte Browning, the top Rebel finisher in every meet this year.

A year ago, Jenni Shearer topped the Rebel finishers, coming in 63rd place. Ali Ainsworth and Laura Lundin placed well last season and will be looked upon to score high. Ashley Silva and Jessica Heil also need to contribute to improve on UNLV's 2006 finish.
